FAQs
What bases is the MA3X compatible with?
The MA3X uses a standard 5-pin aviation connector and is plug-and-play with all MOZA flight bases. It is also mechanically and electrically compatible with most third-party bases — basic mapping in the sim control settings may be required for non-MOZA bases.
Does the MA3X have a Z-axis (rudder twist)?
No. The MA3X does not have a built-in Z-axis. The MOZA Z-Axis Module ($129 CAD) can be added separately between the flightstick and base to enable rudder control.
Is there a left-handed version available?
Currently, the MA3X is only available in a right-handed configuration. A left-handed/captain-side version is not offered at this time.
How durable are the switches?
All switches on the MA3X are premium ALPS-brand components rated for over 100,000 actuations. The composite casing withstands up to 30 kg of force.
What is the finish like on the grip?
The MA3X features a multi-layer spray finish with UV treatment that creates a tactile, resin-like surface designed to mimic the feel of real aircraft resin materials.
How many inputs does the MA3X have compared to the MH16?
The MA3X offers 12 programmable inputs — fewer than the MH16 (30 inputs). It is optimized for civilian aviation and general-purpose flight sim use, while the MH16 targets combat/military-style flying with more switches and hats.
