Product Overview

The MOZA Active Shifter Knob is an upgrade accessory for MOZA AB6 and AB9 flight base owners, turning your flight base into a force feedback racing shifter. It includes two interchangeable lever heads — a spherical knob for H-pattern (100 mm) and a long shaft for sequential (130 mm) — both crafted from aluminum alloy. Installation is tool-free: attach the knob to the base connector and tighten. Once connected, MOZA Pit House automatically recognizes the shifter and enables H-pattern, sequential, and handbrake modes with per-axis FFB tuning (resistance, damping, vibration). There is no separate power supply — the flight base provides power and the dual servo motors that drive the force feedback.

FAQs

Does the Active Shifter Knob work on its own?

No. It is an upgrade accessory that requires a MOZA AB6 or AB9 flight base. The flight base provides power, USB connectivity, and the dual servo motors that produce force feedback. The shifter knob cannot function independently.

What's included in the box?

Two interchangeable lever heads are included: a spherical knob for H-pattern shifting (100 mm) and a long shaft for sequential shifting (130 mm). Both are aluminum alloy and can be swapped without tools — simply unscrew one and attach the other.

How do I set it up?

Attach the shifter knob to the AB6 or AB9 base connector and turn clockwise to tighten. Launch MOZA Pit House — it will automatically recognize the shifter and unlock H-pattern, sequential, and handbrake modes. From Pit House you can tune per-axis resistance, damping, and vibration.

What software does it use?

MOZA Pit House. All mode switching, FFB tuning, and firmware updates are managed through Pit House. No MOZA Cockpit or third-party software is required.

Can I use it for both racing and flight?

Yes. When the Active Shifter Knob is attached, your AB6/AB9 base functions as a racing shifter. Remove it and re-attach your flight grip, and the base returns to flight simulation mode. This lets flight base owners add sim racing shifting capability without buying a separate shifter.

Is it compatible with Xbox or PlayStation?

No. The Active Shifter Knob, like the AB6 and AB9 bases it requires, is PC only.
