Wheel Bases

What's the difference between the R9 V1, V2, and V3?

The primary difference between the R9 V1 and R9 V2 is steering wheel compatibility. The R9 V2 supports the ES Steering Wheel, while the R9 V1 does not.

The R9 V3 is the latest generation of the R9 wheel base and introduces several hardware and performance upgrades, including:

  • 21-bit high-resolution magnetic encoder
  • Industrial-grade conductive slip ring rated for over 5 million revolutions
  • NexGen 4.0 force feedback algorithm
  • Intelligent active cooling system

Earlier versions may feature different encoder specifications and do not include the upgraded slip ring, cooling system, or the latest force feedback technology found in the R9 V3.
